About The Position

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of Surgical experience is required
• Experience can come in any combination in a role as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• Post high school education, certification or diploma required
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, completion of Military Operating Room Specialist course or the Froedtert Health sponsored apprentice II program required
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (Surgical Technologist Level 3 staff, or above, with a date of hire or adjusted date of hire prior to 8/1/2020 are not required to be certified, as long as they meet the criteria in the job description)
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the surgical team to provide care for patients, ensuring that the goals of the patients are met and the mission of the hospital is carried out
