About The Position

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• At least 6 months of warehouse and stand up/reach lift experience.
• Basic addition and subtraction skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of pallet placement based on box size and product.
• Experience with safe and secure material-handling methods and distributing goods in accordance with processing standards.
• Experience with safe loading methods that maximize trailer space and prevent product damage.
• Ability to perform material handling manually and with powered equipment in a distribution center.
• Willingness to be trained and certified on a reach truck and order picker.
• Experience with WMS/WM and RF scanner skills.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours per day, up to 6 days per week.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull, and repeatedly lift cartons or bins weighing up to approximately 50 pounds daily.
• Eyesight, with or without correction, sufficient to place pallets 28 feet high in warehouse racking.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment.
• Load, unload, pick, put away, consolidate, stack, and stage products and materials using a stand up/reach forklift or other powered equipment.
• Move products to storage areas and store merchandise safely in designated locations.
• Pick and assemble merchandise for shipment.
• Operate a stand up/reach forklift at extreme heights.
• Read orders and fulfill them using SAP RF scanners.
• Check or count freight for accuracy, damage, or infestation.
• Help maintain warehouse security and conduct operations in a safe manner.
• Participate in physical inventories as needed.
• Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as directed.
• Report equipment safety malfunctions promptly and comply with OSHA standards.
• Maintain a clean, neat, orderly work environment and practice 5S.
• Follow the attendance policy and arrive on time and ready to work the assigned shift.
• Charge or change forklift batteries as instructed.
• Inspect pallets and cases for correct quantities, items, brands, special instructions, and required documentation.
• Perform other assigned duties, including duties outside normal responsibilities as needed.
