About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive, or related discipline) or equivalent.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification, or ability to earn it within six months.
• At least 3 years of experience in vehicle launch, quality engineering, or manufacturing process improvement.
• Demonstrated experience applying statistical analysis and root-cause problem-solving tools, such as DMAIC, FMEA, SPC, 8D, A3, or 3L5W, in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with prototype build events and physical validation testing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Minitab statistical software.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive accountability for corrective actions.
• Self-starter who can thrive with minimal direction, identify priorities proactively, and drive initiatives forward with little to no oversight.
• Passion for motorsports and high-performance vehicle programs.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive, or related discipline) or equivalent.
• Experience supporting a vehicle program through launch and improving ongoing production quality.
• Working knowledge of enterprise engineering systems such as FEDE, WERS, 3DX, Teamcenter, or FMEA software.
• Design For Six Sigma certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead DMAIC projects to resolve quality issues during prototype builds, vehicle launch phases, and ongoing production.
• Partner with D&R engineers, PVT, the Launch Team, Program Management, and suppliers to drive root-cause corrective actions and eliminate recurring defects.
• Analyze launch and build data to identify trends, quantify process capability, and recommend design or process changes that improve first-time quality.
• Champion continuous improvement by coaching engineering teams on Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies to sustain long-term gains.
