About The Position

The Large Engine Center has THREE Lean Six Sigma Black Belt positions. The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is a leader that is responsible for driving measurable performance improvements across manufacturing and business processes by applying lean and/or 6 Sigma tools that support critical business unit initiatives. This role requires that the individual facilitate cross-functional teams on complex projects that improve business critical metrics that result in long-term, sustainable changes. Examples include projects that focus on improving safety, quality, operational performance, and cost that lead to cultural transformation (E.g., team development, engagement). Successful Black Belts utilize data to guide initiatives that focus on, for example, problem solving and waste reduction while executing rapid improvement workshops or kaizen events. Additionally, this person will manage project portfolios, mentor Green Belts, and ensure data-driven decision-making to achieve strategic business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lean or Six Sigma programs, including tools and systems, to improve quality and business processes.
  • Lead and manage lean or Six Sigma project portfolios, delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, cost reduction, and performance.
  • Provide technical training, mentorship, and support to Green Belts in the planning, execution, and sustainability.
  • Integrate Six Sigma methodologies into daily operations, driving a culture of continuous improvement that aligns with business objectives.
