About The Position
Castor Home Health Solutions is hiring an RN or LPN to provide one-on-one nursing care for a young child in Carpentersville, Illinois. The nurse’s primary role is to attend school with the child and help them safely participate in the school day while providing nursing care. When school is not in session or the child needs to stay home, care is provided in the family’s home. This is a consistent weekday case with one patient, with no nights or weekends. The schedule is listed as Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM. The role includes paid hands-on training, 24/7 clinical support, and the opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with the child and family.
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN or LPN license.
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Dependable and compassionate approach to care.
- Comfort working one-on-one with a pediatric patient.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care according to the patient’s individualized care plan.
- Attend school with the patient and support their safe participation in the school day.
- Provide nursing care in the family’s home when school attendance is not possible or school is not in session.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Monitor the patient’s condition throughout the shift.
- Communicate with the family, school staff, and Castor clinical team.
- Complete required nursing documentation.
- Provide compassionate and dependable one-on-one care.
