About The Position
Puget Sound Hospice is seeking an organized and dependable Hospice Operations Coordinator to cover receptionist, medical records, and scheduling responsibilities in a fast-paced office. This role helps coordinate clinician scheduling , maintain compliant documentation, and support timely, seamless patient care through medical records management and serves as a professional point of contact for incoming communications.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of medical office experience , preferably in a home health and/or hospice agency
- Demonstrate cooperation and provide excellent customer service
- Ability to multi-task and stay on task in a fast-paced office
- Excellent team-oriented, verbal, and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Home Care Home Base strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensures optimum staffing and scheduling solutions by maintaining staff demographics, skill sets, availability, and productivity levels
- Interface with contract, clinical, and office staff with a focus on collaboration and positive working relationships
- Serves as the primary responder to all inbound calls and inquiries
- Provides excellent customer service to patients, referral sources, and community contacts
- Maintain proper daily workflow and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Assist intake and serve as administrative support for all office, clinical, and marketing staff
- Communicates effectively and professionally regarding coordination of care expectations
- Educates and enforces deadlines, schedule updates, and workflow requirements
- Supports office workflow through HCHB EMR system, including overseeing medical records, chart creation, tracking and follow up of physician orders, and adhering to all compliance regulations.
