About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced LPN/RN Unit Manager to help lead our nursing team in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for improving patient outcomes. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices and the ability to manage a diverse team while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- Long-term care experience (nursing home, assisted living)
- Dialysis, IV infusion, catheterization, phlebotomy
- Experience with EMR systems (PCC)
- Experience in skilled nursing
- Knowledge of geriatrics and behavioral health
- Supervisory experience within a healthcare environment
- Proficiency in patient assessment, medication administration, infection control practices, and basic life support.
Responsibilities
- Mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support in clinical practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
- Conduct regular assessments of patient care quality and implement improvements as needed.
- Facilitate training and development programs for nursing staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and oversee the management of medical records.
- Participate in utilization review processes to optimize resource allocation and patient outcomes.
- Address patient concerns and complaints promptly, fostering a culture of safety and quality.
