About The Position

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• BLS/CPR required upon hire or prior to patient care.
• Current Arkansas Registered Nurse License.
• Basic proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
• Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals
• Basic competency in documenting patient information accurately
• Basic flexibility to adapt to changes in patient conditions and unit priorities
• Able to teach and educate patients and staff
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Excellent problem solving abilities and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred.
• Certification in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing preferred.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience, particularly in an acute care setting
• Proficiency in wound and ostomy care techniques
• Previous experience in wound care, ostomy management, or a related field a plus.

Responsibilities

• Delegating duties appropriately and directing staff in the delivery of care
• Assuring responsibility for the appropriate utilization of resources
• Collaborating with medical staff and others in the provision of care
• Demonstrating positive interpersonal relationships with others in communication and problem resolution
• Responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment
• Consulting, assessing, planning, evaluating, directing, and providing enterostomal therapy nursing services and education
• Managing patients with stoma, pressure, vascular, and diabetic ulcers; wounds and fistulas; and incontinence care for inpatients in a safe, effective, and cost conscious manner
