About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the quality of care for an assigned caseload of patients. This includes delegating duties appropriately and directing staff in the delivery of care, assuring responsibility for the appropriate utilization of resources, collaborating with medical staff and others in the provision of care, and demonstrating positive interpersonal relationships with others in communication and problem resolution. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. This position will consult, assess, plan, evaluate, directs, and provides enterostomal therapy nursing services and education. This includes the management of patients with stoma, pressure, vascular, and diabetic ulcers; wounds and fistulas; and incontinence care for inpatients in a safe, effective, and cost conscious manner.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical or Associate's degree in nursing required.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • BLS/CPR required upon hire or prior to patient care.
  • Current Arkansas Registered Nurse License.
  • Basic proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
  • Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals
  • Basic competency in documenting patient information accurately
  • Basic flexibility to adapt to changes in patient conditions and unit priorities
  • Able to teach and educate patients and staff
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Excellent problem solving abilities and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred.
  • Certification in wound, ostomy, and continence nursing preferred.
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience, particularly in an acute care setting
  • Proficiency in wound and ostomy care techniques
  • Previous experience in wound care, ostomy management, or a related field a plus.
