About The Position
Registered Nurse required for Progressive Care Unit (PCU) providing care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac issues, nephrology conditions, strokes, and diabetes, along with continuous EEG monitoring and titration of medications.
Requirements
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Driver's license required for submission to ensure distance from facility.
- Compliance with fingernail policy prohibiting artificial nails.
- Pass a minimum 90% on an open book skills exam during orientation.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a 35-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5.
- Titrate medication drips such as Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications.
- Adhere to scheduling requirements including every other weekend and every third holiday.
- Participate in a unit/department specific orientation program and ongoing skill evaluation.
