About The Position

This position assists in the development, measurement, and monitoring of goals, objectives, plans, and policies established by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). It provides diverse, complex, and confidential services for the CFO and secondary support to executive team members as requested. The role involves planning, developing, and implementing strategic initiatives, and coordinating the efforts of multi-functional and/or geographically dispersed work teams. Key responsibilities include managing strategic assignments for the CFO such as new business opportunities, data analysis and research, coordination of consultants, development and administration of the CFO's budget, preparation of presentations, compilation and review of daily and monthly reports, and preparing responses to correspondence. The Project Manager also serves as a liaison to System Office and Regional Health Ministry leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, health care or related area
  • Five years of project management and/or consulting experience in health care operations or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of management principles, practices, methods, techniques and skills in integrating management systems within a health care delivery system
  • Ability to translate technical matters to clinical and operations staff; effectively identify, assess and facilitate improvements and resolutions

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree (MBA, MHA) and/or Management Fellowship experience is strongly preferred
  • PMP or similar Project Management Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve in a leadership capacity planning role, executing and managing the implementation of new businesses, services or operational opportunities
  • Project management requiring strategic planning, business development, supply chain management, process improvement, financial and/or associate management, hospital and health network operations
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to the Senior Leadership Council (SLC)
  • Provide assistance to executives in researching and developing themes/trends in response to internal and external requests
  • Respond to a wide variety of inquiries and requests for action requiring appropriate independent investigation, follow-up and response
  • Research and analyze operational and market trends and statistics, including analysis of system competitors; translate research findings into conceptual ideas/rationale and recommends appropriate actions, viable solutions or innovative approaches
