About The Position
The Production Supervisor ensures plant operations are performed safely and responsibly, maintaining full compliance with regulatory agencies and Linde policies. This role involves scheduling and coordinating cylinder gas production to meet customer demand, maintaining adequate stock levels, and monitoring raw material deliveries. The supervisor is responsible for maintaining the facility’s professional appearance, image, and security, while also providing job training, supporting employee career development, and supervising personnel fairly to promote motivation and empowerment. Additionally, the Production Supervisor drives productivity initiatives to maximize plant capabilities and improve overall operational efficiency, manages day-to-day employee activities, conducts thorough accident/incident investigations, and completes all required reports with accuracy and detail. The role also supports the efficient distribution of products while maintaining professional interactions with internal and external customers, responds to emergency calls, conducts monthly safety meetings, assists with SOP implementation, and monitors the proper usage of plant assets.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience, or 1-2 years of cylinder processor-lead experience preferred
- Production or distribution experience required; industrial gas industry or equivalent experience preferred
- In-depth knowledge of cylinder gases and processes of each
- Familiarity with regulatory agencies including, but not limited to, FDA, DOT, OSHA, and EPA is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and management
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft applications, Lotus Notes and CU
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
