About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with process equipment design and engineering.
• Experience with storage tank design and hazardous storage design.
• Strong knowledge of engineering, design, constructability, operability, and maintainability best practices and code requirements for process equipment.
• Experience successfully coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and design activities for capital projects in excess of $500M TIC.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or GMP-regulated facilities.
• Prior experience in an Owner’s Representative or PMC role for major capital projects in excess of $1B TIC.
• Experience supporting commissioning, qualification, and startup activities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall engineering oversight for Tank Farm and Hazardous Storage and serve as the primary technical focal point for the production node.
• Coordinate engineering disciplines and manage facility-specific technical interfaces.
• Ensure engineering decisions support manufacturing objectives, technology transfer requirements, regulatory compliance, operational readiness, and Lilly's platform strategy.
• Lead multidisciplinary design reviews, equipment verification activities, supplier coordination, operability and maintainability assessments, risk evaluations, and cross-functional alignment.
• Work with Lilly stakeholders, EPCM contractors, equipment suppliers, and the PMC team to ensure equipment designs are technically sound, fit for purpose, and capable of successful qualification and startup.
• Serve as an independent technical reviewer and integration resource across multiple manufacturing areas.
• Help identify and resolve design deficiencies, reduce lifecycle risk, and improve project execution certainty.
