About The Position
Masonicare at Home is hiring private caregivers and homemakers for non-medical homecare, serving clients in Masonicare facilities and community settings throughout Connecticut. The work may be live-in or hourly live-out; hourly services require a three-hour minimum, and available shifts range from 3 to 12 hours per day. Cases are available now, including day-shift opportunities. The role focuses on helping clients stay safe, entertained, and active at home. Masonicare will train applicants who have reliable transportation and are willing to learn. CNA certification is not required, and Masonicare offers to pay for CNA certification. Staff availability for 12-hour shifts at least twice per week is sought. Shifts may be daytime (8 a.m.–8 p.m.) or overnight (8 p.m.–8 a.m.); day-shift and weekend day-shift availability is also sought. The position is per diem.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities
- Provide conversation and general companionship.
- Perform light housekeeping, change bed and bath linens, and do laundry.
- Prepare meals and run errands.
- Give medication reminders.
- Assist with phone calls, appointment scheduling, and mail.
- Provide recreation, including reading, games, crafts, and indoor or outdoor walks.
- Drive or accompany clients to appointments such as doctor, hair, or nail appointments.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, hair and skin care, and feeding.
- Provide toileting and incontinence care.
- Assist with exercises, ambulation, and transfers.
