About The Position

Requirements

• Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and gain pipefitting experience is essential.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic understanding of construction practices and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
• Knowledge of various pipefitting techniques and tools.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects.
• Ability to work in varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels.

Responsibilities

• Assist pipefitters with the layout, assembly, and installation of piping systems according to specifications and blueprints.
• Transport and organize materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites so they are available for use.
• Prepare work areas by cleaning and organizing spaces, removing debris, and maintaining a safe environment.
• Perform basic pipefitting tasks under the supervision of experienced pipefitters, including cutting, threading, and assembling pipes.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and participate in safety meetings.
• Clean, maintain, and properly store tools and equipment.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and issues encountered during projects.
