About The Position

Wood is sourcing Pipefitter apprentices in Freeport, Texas. The role lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and maintains piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. The apprentice follows instructions and pre-established guidelines and works under immediate supervision.

Requirements

• Authorization to work lawfully in the United States without sponsorship from Wood.
• Typically, at least 2 years of documented field experience in the chosen craft discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and documents, and to plan and perform work activities independently.
• May require a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in the field or a related area.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and fit test.
