About The Position

UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to join its team in the greater Pittsburgh area and at locations across Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The organization partners with UPMC Health System to provide urgent care services and aims to deliver personal, connected experiences for patients and communities. Clinicians see a wide variety of concerns and participate in shared decision-making and problem-solving. Centers use an integrated EPIC electronic medical record, point-of-care testing, and on-site X-ray. Each clinician works with an on-site Radiologic Technologist and Medical Assistants as a clinical team leader, and may share experience and training with other clinicians and staff. Team members are assigned a primary home center and nearby secondary centers. Scheduling flexibility accommodates vacations and wellness days; weekend shifts and limited on-call availability are required.

Requirements

  • Physician Assistants: Master’s degree and NCCPA certification.
  • Nurse Practitioners: Master’s degree and ANCC or AANP certification.
  • At least 1 year of full-time Emergency Medicine experience, or 2 years of Urgent Care experience; 2 years of Family Medicine experience will also be considered.
  • Comfort with minor procedures, including sutures, casts, and splints.
  • Ability to provide preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays.
  • Experience treating patients from newborn age and up in an acute care setting.
