About The Position

UPMC–GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to join its urgent care team in the greater Pittsburgh area and locations across Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The organization partners with UPMC Health System and operates urgent care centers across the region. Clinicians provide urgent care in a collaborative setting, with opportunities to manage a wide variety of clinical concerns and participate in shared decision-making and problem-solving. Centers use an integrated EPIC EMR, point-of-care testing, and on-site X-ray. The clinical team includes an on-site Radiologic Technologist and Medical Assistants, and the clinician serves as a team leader. Each team member is assigned a primary home center and nearby secondary centers. This Weekend Warrior role requires Saturday and Sunday shifts, with limited on-call availability. Scheduling flexibility for vacations and wellness days is available Monday through Friday. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is offered.

Requirements

At least 1 year of full-time Emergency Medicine experience, or 2 years of Urgent Care experience; 2 years of Family Medicine experience will also be considered.
Experience treating patients from newborn age and up in an acute care setting.
Comfort with minor procedures such as sutures, casts, and splints.
Ability to provide preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays.
For Physician Assistants: a master's degree and NCCPA certification.
For Nurse Practitioners: a master's degree and ANCC or AANP certification.

Responsibilities

Provide urgent care to patients from newborn age and up in an acute care setting.
Perform minor procedures, including sutures, casts, and splints.
Provide preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays.
Collaborate with an on-site Radiologic Technologist and Medical Assistants as a clinical team leader.
Share experience and training with other clinicians and staff.
