About The Position

UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to provide urgent care services in the greater Pittsburgh area and at locations across Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The role offers a varied and clinically complex patient caseload, regular patient scheduling, and shared decision-making and problem-solving. Team members work with an on-site radiologic technologist and medical assistants, serve as clinical team leaders, and share their experience and training with other clinicians and staff. Centers use an integrated EPIC electronic medical record, point-of-care testing, and on-site X-ray equipment. Each clinician is assigned a primary home center and nearby secondary centers. Scheduling flexibility is available for vacations and wellness days Monday through Friday; weekend shifts and limited on-call availability are required. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is offered.

Requirements

Physician Assistants must have a master’s degree and NCCPA certification.
Nurse Practitioners must have a master’s degree and ANCC or AANP certification.
At least 1 year of full-time Emergency Medicine experience, or 2 years of Urgent Care experience; 2 years of Family Medicine experience will also be considered.
Experience treating patients from newborn age and up in an acute care setting.
Comfort with minor procedures, including sutures, casts, and splints.
Ability to perform preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays.
