The University of Iowa Healthcare Walk-In Clinics is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to primarily support their Iowa City/Corridor Walk-In Clinics (Urgent Care/Quick Care Clinics). The PA will perform direct patient care, including diagnostic and therapeutic services, exercising autonomy in medical decision-making. The role also involves assisting in educating healthcare students and participating in research endeavors. UI Walk-in Clinics provide care to save patients a trip to the emergency room, operating evenings, weekends, and holidays. They assess a wide variety of patients from newborn to geriatric, ensuring patient care standards are met and offering services like X-rays, IV fluids, and stitches. This position is in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with opportunities for learning and growth, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. The clinics have multiple locations throughout the corridor area and two in the Quad Cities. This position reports to the Medical Director within the UI Healthcare Walk In Clinics and Lead APP within UI Community Clinics. The position will mainly support Iowa City/Corridor sites but could also support other service lines/clinics based on clinical needs/hours, including Quad Cities clinic sites.
