About The Position

Physical therapists working with the newborn population focus on promoting the physiological, neurological and cognitive development in newborns through evidence-based interventions. They assess reflexes, motor skills, posture, and other physical functions and provide individualized treatments for positioning, sleeping, range of motion, strengthening, self-calming and sensory development. They also educate parents on how to care for their newborn after discharge, ensuring continuity of care.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited school or Master's degree in Physical Therapy with experience
  • PT license from state of Ohio
  • 0 years of relevant experience required

Nice To Haves

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides physical therapy services to newborn patients in the well baby and NICU populations
