About The Position

Madera Community Hospital is a growing acute care facility seeking talented individuals with a drive to provide quality care and dedicated to making a difference in our community. The Physical Therapist is responsible for safe and appropriate basic to intermediate patient care. This individual has good understanding of own treatment knowledge, skills and understanding and seeks assistance with treatments as appropriate to personal clinical skill level. Consults with medical and professional staff of other departments to plan and coordinate joint patient care and management objectives. The clinician is required to provide instruction, direction and supervision to subordinate staff and serves as a resource for all departments. Will orient and precept new staff and assess competencies as needed. Will perform duties in multiple patient care settings as needed. Will analyze data, determine time, place and sequence of healthcare or action to be taken on the basis of information; executing determination and/or reporting on events. Teaches, instructs patients and families on healthcare PT related subjects. May make recommendations to physicians or other staff based on patient care principles to assure optimum patient care. Will select appropriate health supplies, medical equipment to assure appropriate medical care.

Requirements

  • Completion of education requirements to qualify for State of California Physical Therapist License.
  • Knowledge of Physical Therapy patient assessment processes.
  • Ability to assign personnel to perform processes based on competencies.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven management of time and prioritizing skills.
  • Computer software experience and knowledge required: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Current Physical Therapist State of California license.
  • Current American Heart Association BCLS certificate.
  • Current California DMV license with current CA auto insurance and Clean DMV record.
