Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care, a division of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System - Post Acute Division, provides care in a Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) and a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). The SNF has 25 beds and specializes in short-term rehabilitation, with patients typically staying two to four weeks. The 35-bed LTACH provides specialized care for medically complex patients with high-acuity needs, including tracheostomy and ventilator management, stroke recovery, brain injury, and cancer. The rehabilitation team includes PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, and SLPs and provides patient-centered care across orthopedic, neurologic, cardiac, critical care, general medical, general surgical, and oncology diagnoses. The environment emphasizes continuity of care and meaningful relationships with patients and families, alongside communication, trust, compassion, and clinical expertise. The Physical Therapist Assistant provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, follows treatment plans, and understands modifications to treatment plans and procedures. The role includes documenting treatments and charges, supervising ancillary staff, and participating in community presentations, staff education, and other departmental activities as requested by a supervisor, manager, or director. Weekends and holidays are required.
