About The Position
The Kraft Heinz Company is hiring a Skilled Machine Operator for its rectangle cup production area at the Mason, Ohio factory. The role performs general production duties in a food manufacturing environment, following strict quality and safety standards. Operators support production of portion-sized rectangle cup condiments, sauces, jellies, and syrups, working as part of a fast-paced, team-oriented operation. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Overtime is possible and may be scheduled before or after the regular shift. The plant has more than 300 employees and operates across first, second, and third shifts. It is a non-union facility. The position requires regular lifting and carrying of 25 to 50 pounds, attention to detail, reliable attendance, and the ability to adapt and balance changing priorities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Availability to work all shifts, including second and third shifts, as well as weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry 25 to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Outstanding attendance record.
- Strong attention to detail, including the ability to identify defects and adhere to quality standards.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and balance changing priorities.
- Focus on safety and a history of practicing safe work habits.
- Positive, team-focused attitude.
- Achieve a qualified score on the job skills assessment administered after a passing interview score.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a GMP or regulated industry.
Responsibilities
- Operate filling and packaging equipment and make minor machine adjustments.
- Perform packaging of finished products, including making corrugated boxes and partitions and packing merchandise into boxes.
- Seal cases using a tape gun or tape machine and label finished cases with the correct identification.
- Place finished cases on pallets according to predetermined case placements.
- Monitor cases to ensure proper weight and accurate packaging components.
- Monitor machine scrap and follow scrap procedures.
- Record accurate hourly machine counts and monitor and respond to visual board information.
- Clean and rinse equipment during changeovers and keep the work area and station clean.
- Label sides and ends of boxes and apply stickers or other customer-requested identifying information.
- Operate packaging machines in compliance with procedures.
- Complete machine setups, product hookups, changeovers, washouts, and roll changes.
- Make necessary machine adjustments as outlined in the operation guide for each packaging machine.
- Accurately complete paperwork, including production work orders, downtime sheets, and weight checks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
