About The Position

The clinic and infusion nurse performs chemotherapy and infusion administration, physician assistance, information gathering, sample collection, patient education, patient follow-up, supply maintenance, and consultation.

Requirements

  • ADN
  • Working knowledge of oncology services
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BLS
  • Current Alabama RN license or Current Multi State RN license in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama
  • Chemotherapy and Biotherapy provider card (ONS) must be obtained within 6 months of hire or placement into position
  • Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) must be obtained within 24 months of hire or placement into position
  • ACLS certification may be required in designated areas as determined by administration

Nice To Haves

  • BSN/MS degree in Nursing
  • 1 year of experience in infusion and/or chemotherapy
  • ACLS/PALS/NRP certification is encouraged as appropriate to patient population
