About The Position
Join Symbria Rehab as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) at The Breakers at Edgewater Beach in Chicago, IL. This is a part-time role, working 3-4 days per week for 16-20 hours. Symbria Rehab is a 100% employee-owned company that encourages new graduates to apply, offering mentorship, training, and hands-on experience. As a COTA, you will collaborate with Occupational Therapists to develop and implement personalized treatment plans, helping patients regain independence and improve their daily lives. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the community while advancing your career in a supportive and collaborative setting.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Hold a valid or pending state license (New grads welcome!)
Nice To Haves
- Experience in acute care, long-term care, or rehab is great—but not required!
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Help patients regain mobility, strength, and confidence in everyday tasks
- Maintain productivity standards and ensure accurate documentation
- Be an integral part of a compassionate interdisciplinary team
- Build meaningful connections with residents and their families
