About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner provides general care to patients with patience, care, compassion, and understanding. The role serves patients aged 18 and older who meet Medicaid requirements and reside in St. Clair County. Care includes wellness checkups, non-emergency chronic illness care, lab and radiology testing, and specialist referrals. The Nurse Practitioner works with community mental health services, specialists, patient guardians, and adult foster care staff, and may see a high volume of patients facing limited transportation, underemployment or unemployment, mental health diagnoses, and substance use. Within the scope of practice, the Nurse Practitioner may conduct tests, record medical histories, provide treatments, assist physicians, promote public awareness of health, and prescribe medications. This is a part-time, 17-hour-per-week position with a day shift.

Requirements

  • MSN with specialization as an ARNP.
  • Current state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
  • BLS certification upon hire and maintenance of current certification.
  • Previous experience with an electronic health record.

Nice To Haves

  • One to two years of experience as a nurse practitioner preferred.

Responsibilities
