Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or PA degree from an accredited program
• Active and valid state medical license
• DEA/DPS license
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

• Urology experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform complete evaluations on patients of all ages.
• Order and interpret lab work, imaging, and other diagnostic studies.
• Establish working diagnoses and develop treatment plans in collaboration with urologists.
• Implement therapeutic interventions and provide appropriate follow-up care.
• Refer to the supervising urologist or specialists as needed.
• Sees new and follow-up patients and provides problem-oriented intervention for their urological conditions.
• Assists in care, treatment, and follow-up as needed.
• Perform and/or assists in-office procedures, including transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) volume studies, cystoscopies, post-void residual (PVRs) evaluations, difficult catheterizations, post-op voiding trials, and other necessary procedures.
• Orders and interprets lab, x-ray, special studies, and clinical procedures, and provides appropriate care and follow-up.
• Provides phone/video consultation for patient complaints and prescription refills.
• Performs on-call duties for urology.
• Evaluates, screens, and counsels patients on health maintenance and promotes utilization of community resources.
• Other duties as assigned.
