Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in meteorology, atmospheric science, or a related field required.
  • Strong forecasting skills and the ability to explain complex weather information in a clear and engaging way.
  • Experience with weather systems, radar technology, graphics platforms, and forecasting tools.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended coverage during severe weather.

Nice To Haves

  • On-air weather presentation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver accurate daily weather forecasts for television, digital, and social media platforms.
  • Provide clear, urgent, and reliable coverage during severe weather and other impactful weather events.
  • Monitor weather models, radar, and data sources to track changing conditions and communicate updates quickly.
  • Use graphics, storytelling, and live reporting to make weather information easy for audiences to understand.
  • Create weather-related content for the station website, app, CTV platforms, and social media channels.
