About The Position
GE Vernova is looking for a Mechanical Technician who can build and drive mechanisms and breakers according to blueprints and wiring diagrams. Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of mechanical experience/training
- Attention to detail a must
- Ability to read engineering drawings for assembly
- Knowledge of standard assembly tools and practices including wrenches, power drivers, and torque wrenches.
- Attention to detail and neatness of work

- Flexible and able to work weekends when business needs dictates
- Electromechanical experience or training
Responsibilities
- Unpack parts and inspects each one for proper functioning and ensures completeness.
- Assembles breakers to standard drawings and customer specifications or prepares breakers for shipment or clean and prepares tanks and sub-assemblies for downstream assembly.
- Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.
- Performs assembly functions in accordance with Quality Control Procedures to ensure the output will meet QC and customer standards.
- Inspects own work to ensure that each breaker is properly assembled, vacuumed, pre-filled, and ready to test and ship.
- Documents work performed by filling out proper forms (labor, QCR’s, etc.).
- Cleans work area at the end of the shift.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
