Mechanical Assembly Technician
About The Position
The Mechanical Assembly Technician assembles MTS hydro-mechanical subsystems according to engineering blueprints and specifications, bills of materials, and manufacturing process documentation. The role includes troubleshooting and repairing new and customer hydro-mechanical subsystems, disassembling equipment to diagnose problems, and developing solutions to resolve performance issues. The technician contributes to quality and process improvement, maintains accurate records and documentation, and develops skills in assembling and testing MTS products and industry technology. The position is based at 14000 Technology Dr., Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
Requirements
- Two-year certification from a college or trade school, or military training, in an applicable discipline such as mechanics, hydraulics, or electronics; alternatively, four years of applicable experience in an applicable environment.
- Ability to use hand tools, specialized tooling, and basic measuring equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble hydro-mechanical subsystems in accordance with engineering blueprints and specifications, bills of materials, and manufacturing process documentation.
- Meet quality, efficiency, and schedule standards.
- Interpret engineering documents to determine results and processes.
- Use hand tools, specialized tooling, and basic measuring equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair new and customer hydro-mechanical subsystems.
- Disassemble equipment and diagnose problems.
- Develop solutions and resolve performance issues.
- Collaborate to maintain accurate documents and records in accordance with MTS policies.
- Initiate modifications or improvements to engineering and manufacturing documentation.
- Accurately execute the non-conforming materials process.
- Participate in process and quality improvement activities.
- Behave professionally and respectfully toward coworkers, engineers, supervisors, and customers.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers, engineers, supervisors, and customers.
- Maintain and develop skills in assembling and testing MTS products and industry technology.
- Participate in required training.
