About The Position

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for its Green Bay Broadway facility. This hands-on industrial maintenance role involves working with mechanical manufacturing equipment and systems such as pumps, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, rotating equipment, and other mill equipment. The technician safely troubleshoots equipment, identifies failures, completes quality repairs, and supports equipment reliability and predictable performance.

The role works a 2-2-3 rotation on a 12-hour swing shift and includes scheduled weekends and holidays. A $7-per-hour shift premium is offered. Overtime may occasionally be required based on mill needs. The Green Bay Broadway Mill manufactures and distributes commercial and retail paper products, including bath tissue, napkins, and towels.

Requirements

• Three or more years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment, or a technical degree in mechanical or industrial maintenance.

Nice To Haves

• Two-year technical degree in mechanical or industrial maintenance.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial mechanical equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, or rotating equipment.
• Welding or fabrication experience.
• Experience with industrial equipment alignment, installation, or rebuilds.
• Mechanical maintenance experience in the paper industry.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial mechanical manufacturing equipment to support reliable operation.
• Inspect equipment, diagnose mechanical failures, and identify appropriate repairs.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and specifications to support troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and unplanned maintenance.
• Follow plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and reliability needs with team members and other stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability across the mill.
