About The Position

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains plant equipment and tools and conducts preventive maintenance to support continuous plant operation in a timely manner. The role includes troubleshooting equipment, completing scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, carrying out corrective maintenance during shift time, documenting work and reporting abnormal findings, and maintaining tools in proper condition. Maintenance work must comply with HES policy and be performed under safe conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience and NCCER certification, or at least 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
• Eligibility to apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within a reasonable timeframe.

Nice To Haves

• NCCER certification, a college millwright certification, or a related union apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance according to schedule.
• Execute the preventive maintenance plan according to SAP information.
• Complete related corrective maintenance jobs during shift time.
• Prepare maintenance records and report related issues.
• Comply with HES policy and ensure maintenance jobs are completed safely.
• Conduct patrols and report abnormal findings.
• Prepare maintenance activity reports and submit them to the supervisor after each activity.
• Use and maintain tools in proper condition.
