About The Position

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician performs mechanical maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and installation of new or repaired equipment. The role completes preventive and predictive maintenance work orders accurately and in a timely manner, and collaborates with production personnel to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues. The technician also provides technical support and assistance to technicians, specialists, contractors, and other departments as needed. The position responds to after-hours emergencies and breakdowns and requires proficiency across mechanical maintenance and repair.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Coursework in mechanical maintenance and at least one related technical discipline, such as pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC, steam/heat transfer, or mechanical drive systems.
• At least five years of maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and hands-on experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance practices, troubleshooting, and equipment repair.
• Forklift certification required.
• Must achieve a minimum score of 55% on the technical knowledge assessment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree or two-year mechanical certification preferred.
