About The Position

Marlen International, Inc., is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for their Riverside, MO location. The role involves a variety of engineering tasks, including interacting with sales staff and customers to understand project requirements, preparing formal equipment layout drawings, developing CAD models, and creating detailed engineering drawings using GD&T. The engineer will also be responsible for transferring Bill of Materials (BOM) data to the ERP system, managing project timelines, providing status updates, and ensuring customer satisfaction by adhering to project scope and delivery expectations. Additionally, the position requires providing engineering assistance to service technicians and customers as needed. Occasional domestic travel (once or twice a year) is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • 24 months experience in job offered or engineering or design
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with SolidWorks
  • Experience with AutoCAD

Responsibilities

  • Interact with the sales staff and customers to fully understand project requirements
  • Prepare formal equipment layout drawings for customer review and approval
  • Develop CAD models representative of the customer’s order
  • Create engineering drawings utilizing GD&T
  • Transfer BOM data from CAD to the ERP system
  • Complete assigned tasks/designs within the required timeframe
  • Provide updates on project status and deliverables as necessary
  • Follow project scope and delivery expectations to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Provide engineering assistance to service technicians and customers as required
