Associate Mechanical Designer

About The Position
The mechanical designer at Power Design is the brain behind the design of mechanical systems on our large-scale projects. As the mechanical designer, you’ll work on HVAC load calculations, equipment selections, and ductwork and piping layouts.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of relevant mechanical design experience.
- Mechanical Engineering degree.
- Detailed knowledge of mechanical and plumbing codes. (IPC, IMC, IBC, ASHRAE)
- An excellent communicator who is able to read and interpret blueprints, submittets and specifications and perform basic plumbing calculations.
- Knowledge of HVAC load calculations using Trane Trace or similar HVAC load and energy analysis programs, as well as experience in duct sizing, layout and design for air systems.
- Demonstrate and uphold all of Power Design’s core values, which include integrity, accountability, teamwork, innovation and growth.
Nice To Haves
- Revit experience preferred.
