About The Position

Requirements

Expertise in steel fabrication processes, including cutting, forming, machining, and welding.
Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Strong understanding of design for manufacturability principles specific to steel fabrication.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented capabilities.
Independent self-starter with effective time management and organizational skills.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software, specifically SolidWorks.
Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3 years in mechanical design, preferably within manufacturing or related industries.

Responsibilities

Prepare weight distribution summaries and verify compliance with applicable transportation regulations.
Collaborate with sales teams to benchmark competitors and develop innovative trailer designs.
Generate detailed designs and validate them using SolidWorks and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Ensure all designs comply with CMVSS/FMVSS and other relevant standards.
Support production teams by providing clear guidance, troubleshooting assistance, and actionable design improvements.
Maintain proactive and professional communication with internal stakeholders and clients.
