Field Marketing Specialist

Steelhead TechnologiesBrighton, MI

About The Position

We're looking for an organized, energetic marketing specialist to own our events and field marketing programs from end to end. You'll be the person who makes sure every roadshow stop, trade show booth, customer event, and webinars run smoothly — and that the details that make or break an event get handled. Must be willing to travel to events when needed. This role is a great fit for someone early in their marketing career who wants real ownership, fast. An AI-first mindset is a must. We expect this person to actively explore how AI tools can increase their output, sharpen their content, and free up time for higher-leverage work. We build AI into our product; we expect our team to build it into their workflow.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, events, or a related field — internships count
  • Exceptionally organized — you track details others miss and nothing falls through the cracks
  • Strong written communicator who can draft a crisp email or attendee update
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Proactive by nature — you spot what needs to happen next and move on it
  • Comfortable with tools like HubSpot, Cvent, or similar platforms — or willing to learn fast
  • AI-curious — you already use AI tools in your work or are actively building that habit

Nice To Haves

  • Background in B2B, SaaS, or manufacturing/industrial is a plus, not a requirement

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end coordination for Steelhead-hosted events including the Revenue Riptide series
  • Manage venue logistics, attendee communications, run-of-show documents, and on-site execution
  • Track RSVPs, confirmations, and attendance across event platforms
  • Coordinate pre- and post-event outreach to customers and prospects
  • Support trade show planning and execution across events like SurFin, FabTech, and more
  • Coordinate booth logistics, shipping, materials, and on-site setup
  • Manage badge scanning, lead capture, and post-show follow-up coordination with sales
  • Own webinar scheduling, registration setup, reminder sequences, and day-of execution
  • Coordinate speakers, slides, and run-of-show with internal stakeholders
  • Handle customer and prospect outreach to drive registrations and attendance
  • Coordinate with sales to identify and create marketing opportunities on sales trips and regional visits
  • Prep materials, talking points, and leave-behinds for field activities
  • Support customer outreach for event participation and relationship-building moments
  • Manage event platforms including Cvent for registration, check-in, and reporting
  • Triage and manage inbound leads; assign to sales with appropriate context
  • Order and track print materials, branded swag, and business cards
  • Update website landing pages for events, webinars, and roadshow stops
  • Maintain event calendars, timelines, and project trackers
  • Actively use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to accelerate content drafting, communications, and research
  • Continuously look for ways to automate repetitive tasks and increase output without sacrificing quality
  • Share what's working — this team iterates fast and swaps playbooks often
