About The Position
Machine components to print specifications using manual machine tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses etc. This role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, set up and operate various manual machine tools, and be proficient with measuring instruments, gages, and hand tools. The position also emphasizes teamwork, safety, and the ability to work with minimum supervision. The work environment is a metal fabricating environment with normal hazards, requiring the use of personal protective equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2 years experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and follow various work instructions.
- Set-up and operate various manual machine tools (lathe, mill, grinder etc.).
- Proficient using measuring instruments and gages.
- Proficient using various hand tools.
- Ability to work well with fellow employees including active participation in employee involvement activities and problem solving.
- Fully support and participate in promoting safety at all times.
- Maintain clean, efficient work area.
- Ability to work well with minimum supervision.
