About The Position

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and completion of a formal two (2) year allied health approved school with completion of the mammography course and clinical requirements for Mammography registry.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Mammography and licensed by SC Radiation Quality Standards Association.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• ARRT CT Registration required within 1 year in position.
• Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Responsibilities

• Performs proficiently Mammograms, (Screening and Diagnostic) Bone Density Exams, Stereotactic Biopsies and Needle Localization Exams.
• Maintains x-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order.
• Assists Lead Mammographer in ensuring that Quality Assurance is carried out in an appropriate and timely manner.
