About The Position

This role involves performing mammography procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. The technologist will greet patients, conduct interactions positively, and perform technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative. The position is within the Radiology_VNA department at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, specifically at their ambulatory urgent care sites. The urgent care centers are open 7 days a week, requiring availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility to work at all 7 urgent care locations is also required, though schedule and location preferences will be considered. Requirements

Board Certification in Radiology and Mammography
ARRT: Amer Reg Rad Technologist
BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
FL RT: Florida Radiologic Tech

Nice To Haves

Two (2) years experience screening mammography exams.

Responsibilities

Greets patients and conducts daily interactions in a way that demonstrates a positive organizational attitude, modeling the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
