The Streets and Urban Forestry Division is seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Street and Sewer Maintenance Worker. This manual, semi-skilled position involves a variety of shop maintenance duties and vehicle washing tasks at our Streets and Urban Forestry facility. Work is generally performed under the supervision of a foreperson or higher-level employee and is subject to inspection both in-process and upon completion. In this role, you’ll contribute to the upkeep of essential city equipment and infrastructure. The successful candidate must maintain an acceptance rate of 50% or better on all snow and ice overtime shifts offered. The current recruitment is to fill one (1) position based at Streets East at 4602 Sycamore Avenue. The regular work hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. THIS RECRUITMENT WILL BE USED TO CREATE AN ELIGIBLE LIST FOR OTHER STREET AND SEWER MAINTENANCE WORKER 1 POSITIONS IN THE STREETS DIVISION THAT MAY BECOME AVAILABLE IN THE NEXT THREE (3) MONTHS Employees may be eligible for loan forgiveness through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
