About The Position
Temp To Full-Time Maintenance Mechanic Location: Elkton, MD Pay: $25.00 Per Hour Based on Experience Duration: Our client in Elkton, MD is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join their production warehouse! This is a full-time temp-to-hire position starting at $25 an hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or technical certification (mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance).
- 3+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Proficiency with safety practices, especially Lockout/Tagout .
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints.
Nice To Haves
- CMMS experience preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills; able to work independently and in a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair on thermoforming machines, auxiliary systems, and facility equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
- Install, align, and commission new machinery and support equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation.
- Respond to emergency equipment failures to reduce downtime.
- Work with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve equipment reliability.
- Conduct basic fabrication, machining, and welding for part repair or modification.
- Monitor equipment condition and recommend efficiency and reliability improvements.
- Follow OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout and PPE.
- Assist with spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies.
- Participate in maintenance planning, reliability analysis, and root-cause investigations.
