We are looking for a Director of Staff and Development/ Infection Preventionist (IP LPN LVN) to join our team. Requirements

  • Unencumbered LVN/LPN license in the state
  • Knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

Nice To Haves

  • Infection control experience
  • Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
  • Experience with PointClickCare

Responsibilities

  • Develop, direct, and monitor the facility's infection prevention and control program and ensure that the facility is in compliance.
  • Make rounds of nursing units and review environmental sanitation procedures.
  • Analyze infectious disease lab reports and consult with the Director of Nursing.
  • Prepare summaries of all resident/staff infections, corrective actions taken, and results for submission.
  • Meet with staff, residents, and family members to explain precautions and ensure appropriate hand-hygiene techniques are followed.
