About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor will provide vital leadership and clinical oversight to our Youth Empowerment Services (YES) program. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with internal teams and external community partners to strengthen our place-based continuum of care and drive positive, measurable outcomes for the populations we serve. Core Objectives of the Role: Provide Clinical Leadership: Deliver robust clinical supervision, mentorship, and guidance to program staff to ensure the highest standard of care. Foster Collaboration: Build and maintain strong partnerships across internal departments and external community organizations to create a seamless, supportive network for clients. Drive Community Impact: Support, evaluate, and enhance our place-based services to ensure interventions are effective, culturally responsive, and achieving positive community outcomes.

Requirements

  • Active LMFT or LCSW license, meeting all Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) criteria to act as a Clinical Supervisor in a mental health discipline (must include a minimum of two years post-licensure experience).
  • Must have fully completed all BBS supervisor training requirements and be able to provide completion certificates at the time of hire/first day of work.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising pre-licensed interns or associates, specifically those providing child and family therapy within a community mental health setting.
  • Proven experience in clinical chart auditing, Quality Assurance (QA) monitoring, and ensuring compliance with behavioral health standards.
  • Strong ability to efficiently navigate Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms and web-based systems to review clinical documentation, track work performance, and manage records.
  • Exceptional supervisory, administrative, and interpersonal skills, with a strong capacity for clear written and verbal communication.
  • Valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle for travel as needed.

  • Prior personnel management and team leadership experience is highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides trauma-informed clinical and administrative supervision to pre-licensed interns, registered associates, and licensed clinicians.
  • Provides individual and/or group supervision to clinical staff both in-person and/or virtually as needed.
  • Co-creates professional development goals with employees and completes periodic employee evaluations for continued professional development and accountability.
  • Supports staff in meeting program service delivery and caseload expectations, providing supervisees with ongoing feedback to monitor progress.
  • Gives input on the training needs of clinicians and provides training when needed.
  • Participates in the hiring and onboarding processes of new staff.
  • Monitors supervisees’ work schedules and informs the Program Director of any issues, absences, and vacations.
  • Provides crisis consultation and direct crisis intervention services as needed, particularly in support of line staff.
  • Maintains relations with school site principals and personnel, supports clinical staff in their relationships at the school sites, and ensures school referral systems are set up for success.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization, local schools, families, and community partners.
  • Supports staff with Coordination of Services Team (COST) and District-led meetings, participating as needed.
  • Participates in the agency utilization review process and upholds Alameda County Behavioral Health EPSDT standards and EBAC-stated best practices.
  • Attends EBAC meetings and trainings as needed.
  • Provides direct services and holds case load based on program needs/as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
