About The Position

Requirements

• For therapists: a master’s degree in social work and a current license to practice in the state where the clinician will practice; accepted licenses include LCSW, LISW, LPCC, LCMHC, or LMFT.
• Knowledge of assessment and psychotherapy techniques, population-specific interventions, and treatment-plan-based care.
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools and techniques, including the current edition of the DSM.
• Knowledge of rules and regulations governing psychotherapy practice and of the organization’s policies and procedures.
• Skill in gathering and analyzing physiological, socioeconomic, behavioral, and emotional patient data.
• Skill in evaluating patient problems and providing appropriate advice, intervention, or referral.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and discretion.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Ability to collaborate with all members of the healthcare team.
• Ability to make responsible decisions within the scope of a dependent medical practitioner.
• Ability to evaluate and make recommendations for continuous quality improvement.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Assess each resident with valid consent to determine individual needs.
• Develop and follow a treatment plan that meets each resident’s needs and ensures treatment is medically necessary.
• Provide recovery-oriented rehabilitation services in individual or group settings.
• Consult verbally or in writing with clients’ primary care physicians, families, facility staff, and Eventus WholeHealth support staff as needed.
• Document treatment plans, psychotherapy sessions, and treatment plan updates according to company procedures and policies.
• Provide the facility with written documentation within 48 hours of service for inclusion in the patient’s medical record.
• Meet with the Resident Care Coordinator or other designated facility staff upon arrival and departure to review care needs and communicate findings or concerns.
• Establish and maintain open, positive communication with facility staff and administration.
• Provide verbal or written instructions or feedback about treatment plans and other pertinent caregiver information.
• Follow Eventus WholeHealth standards, policies, and procedures, as well as applicable legal, regulatory, and professional ethical requirements.
• Comply with regulatory agencies governing healthcare delivery and maintain professional conduct.
• Protect patient confidentiality, use communication devices and records appropriately, and comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Consult with the clinical supervisor when facing an unfamiliar resident, family, or facility request or recommendation regarding resident care.
