About The Position
Our client is a renowned law firm in downtown Montreal that is seeking a legal assistant specializing in business law to support an experienced attorney whose current assistant is planning to retire. As a Legal Assistant, you will make a valuable contribution to the lawyers in carrying out their various legal mandates.
Requirements
- DVS in Secretarial Studies with legal specialization or any other relevant training/experience
- Experience as a Legal Assistant in commercial
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Meticulousness and good organizational skills
- Rigor and excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrated excellent language skills in the workplace, in both French and English
Responsibilities
- Preparing letters and legal documents in commercial
- Reviewing documents and correspondence for compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage
- Follow up on files and correspondence
- Scheduling appointments and meeting dates
