ROLLING MILL LABORER
TECHSPEC INC•Derry, PA

About The Position
The Hot Working Laborer position will assist as needed in the day-to-day operations of the rolling mill, the heat-treating area, and the conditioning area. This is a full-time position involving 10-hour shifts, 5 days per week, with occasional weekends and potential for daylight, afternoon, or midnight shifts. The role requires standing for long periods of time.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions
- Strong attention to detail with commitment to quality
- Ability to operate forklift
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs., bend, stand, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or shifts as needed
Nice To Haves
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Manual lifting, manipulation of high temperature titanium bars using tongs and other hot-working tools
- Furnace loading/unloading
- Maintain and follow all applicable safety protocols
- Maintain material and bar location identifications
- Forklift operation
- Guide set-up and tooling changes
- Manual operation of bar conditioning tools
