General Laborer - Cross Dock

About The Position

Liberty Tire Recycling is hiring a General Laborer for manual tire-loading and unloading work involving tractor tires, semi-truck tires, and gate customers. The role requires lifting and loading tires of various sizes, following appropriate safety standards, and working effectively with employees, supervisors, and the public. Forklift experience is helpful but not required. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds; heavier loads may be lifted with assistance.
Physical capability to load upwards of 1,220 tires per day.
Ability to climb into a trailer unassisted and safely.
Ability to work independently with general instructions.
Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
Ability to make independent judgments with a moderate impact on the company.

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience.
Prior experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

Lift and load personal vehicle, truck, and tractor tires of all sizes.
Arrive at work on time.
Perform all duties in accordance with appropriate safety standards.
Climb into trailers safely and learn to lace tires to prevent injury and secure loads during transport.
Maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and the public.
Perform other duties as assigned.
