Requirements

• Basic knowledge of food science principles, ingredients, and processing techniques
• Understanding of food safety regulations and quality systems
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to follow protocols and work in a lab or pilot plant environment
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Assist on the development of new recipes with our existing items
• Assist in making adjustments to formula for product manufacturing at the pilot plant level or initial production runs for achievement of all target objectives.
• Support R & D department by identifying any opportunity of product and/or process improvement.
• Record and compile test results, and prepare graphs, charts, and reports.
• Support production test runs
• Support developing processing procedures
• Assist in sensory evaluation and testing of new products under development.
• Evaluates product ingredients and formulation; develops suggestions for new products or improvements to existing products.
• Supervises test runs of new/changed products and evaluates quality, presentation, and taste.
• Assist in cuttings in lab to test new and improved products in comparison with competitor products.
• Assist R & D team with day-to-day tasks
• Organize and clean lab as required.
• Assist with shipping samples or ingredients.
