About The Position

The Director of Security (DOS) will oversee all aspects of security for client entities, encompassing residential, business, and travel-related needs. The DOS is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive security procedures, physical security design standards, policies, and overseeing protective services. They will directly manage onsite security vendor agents and teams, ensuring proper training and adherence to protocols are maintained. While prioritizing a balance between security and personal freedom, the Director of Security will also provide close-contact support to the Chief of Security as needed. As an embedded professional, the DOS will gain a deep understanding of the client culture, organizational goals, and needs, and will serve as a direct liaison with Concentric's corporate teams to facilitate coordination across the suite of services provided to the client.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in executive protection, corporate security, or a related security management role (for the 3–5 year experience tier).
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing comprehensive security programs, policies, and protocols.
  • Experience managing security personnel and vendor relationships.
  • Experience with physical security systems, including access control, CCTV, and alarm monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of threat intelligence, risk management, and emergency response planning.
  • Ability to travel as needed

Nice To Haves

  • 6–10 years of progressive security leadership experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in military, law enforcement, or federal protective services.
  • Advanced certifications such as the Certified Protection Professional (CPP), the Physical Security Professional (PSP), or an equivalent.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, or private estate security.
  • Familiarity with aviation and maritime security protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage onsite security vendor agents and teams, ensuring proper training and adherence to protocols are maintained, and readiness to execute a rapid security response capability if necessary.
  • Develop, administer, maintain, and oversee comprehensive security policies and protocols for residential, business, and travel-related needs.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and test robust emergency incident response plans.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and various stakeholders.
  • Develop and foster key relationships with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
  • Advise and collaborate with senior leadership on pertinent security issues.
  • Prepare and present metrics-based reports and analyses on security programs, incidents, and improvements.
  • Coordinate and manage protective support for locations, events, and travel.
  • Provide executive protection support as needed.
  • Triage and manage crisis incidents as required, ensuring appropriate response protocols are in place.
  • Collaborate with existing security stakeholders and executive protection managers at the client’s residential and corporate sites.
  • Coordinate art transportation, vendor access management, and event security.
  • Develop, implement, and manage security training, education, and standard operating procedures for company and home office employees and residential security agents.
  • Manage and execute programs for the physical protection of assets by monitoring physical security systems, including access controls, CCTV, and alarms.
  • Ensure appropriate, effective, and efficient response and escalation protocols for all agents and locations.
